Configure your email for Outlook 2010

If you have purchased Microsoft Office 2013 and have Microsoft Outlook 2013, we highly recommend using Outlook 2013 to manage your email accounts.

From Outlook 2013, click “File” then “Account Settings

Under the email tab click New

Select “Manually configure server settings or additional server types”, Click Next

Select “Internet E-mail”, Click Next

Your Name: Your full name

E-mail Address: Your full email address

Account Type: POP3

Incoming mail server:

Outgoing mail server (SMTP):

User Name: <full email address>

Password: <your password>

Click “More Settings” button then click the “Outgoing Server” tab.

Check the “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication” box.

Click the “Advanced” tab.

Under “Incoming server (POP3)” check the box “This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)“.

Under “Outgoing server (SMTP)” drop down “User the following type of encrypted connection” and select “SSL”. Then change the “Outgoing server SMTP” port from 25 to 465 and click “OK”

Click “Next”. Once the Outlook testing process is complete, click “Close” then “Finish” and “Close”
